Disproportionate burden
The Office of the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner has assessed that remediating all legacy content particularly older PDF documents published before 23 September 2018 would be a disproportionate burden.
This is due to the volume of historic material and the resource required to review and update each document.
We are taking the following steps to reduce the impact:
- ensuring all new documents meet accessibility standards
- prioritising key or frequently accessed documents for remediation
- providing accessible versions of documents on request
This assessment will be reviewed regularly.
